CAR STRUCK BY ENGINE AT LEVEL-CROSSING
(By TeUfraph—Brest Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, July 8. Struck by a slowly-moving shunting engine, a motorcar was carried 15 yards along the line fit a crossing at Stratford yesterday. The driver, Mr A. A. Piper, of Lowgarth, and a passenger, Mr M. Jury, escaped unhurt. Mr Jury was particularly fortunate, for the locomotive struck his side of the car.
