CAR CONVERSION CHARGE ALSO The three young men who were arrested by Constable L. Skinner near Woodville on Friday following this discovery of the premises of Mr. J. A. Mackay, of Woodville, having been entered during the previous night, appeared in the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court on Saturday charged with the theft of sundry articles belonging to Mackay, of a total value of £3 3s 6d. Two of the accused, Albert Thomas Draken, aged 21, and Charles Kenneth Cameron, aged 25, were each sentenced to a month in gaol, while the third member of the party, Walter Harrison, aged 20, was remanded to appear before the Court again to-day. The trio were also charged with the conversion of a car belonging to Wilson Williams, at Wanganui The first two were sentenced to three months in gaoJ and the third, Walter Harrison, was remanded till to-day. Tho young men were described as circus hands.
