The Merchant of Venice
TO-MORROW NIGHT
Members of the Little Theatre Society will present a rehearsed reading of “Tho Merchant of Venice” (Shakespearo) to-morrow evening at All Saints’ Parish Hall, which will be specially heated. In a large cast re-
quiring 17 men the more experienced members as well as the new ones will bo seen in action and careful attention has been given to the costumes which have been secured from Wellington, so should be colourful and correct. Miss Coyla Cairns has been cast as “Portia/* Mr. R. Allison * ‘ Bassanio,' * Mr. C. A. Small “Antonio'* and Mr. A. G. Baigcut in the exacting role of “Shylock. “ Special music has been arranged and Miss M. Cranston is directing the reading.
