Night and Day Salvage
Strong Tides Hamper Work FIRST ATTEMPT TO LIFT SUBMARINE TO-MORROW United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Wednesday, 2 a.m. LONDON, June 6. The salvage of the Thetis is proceeding night and day, hut the first attempt to lift the submarine is not expected until Thursday. It is understood the divers have fixed the marking wires and other lines to the Thetis but the strong tides which are churning up the mud are considerably hampering salvage work.
