Auckland Girl’s Success
Success has attended the efforts of a young Auckland poet, Miss Phillipa Stimpson. 19-year-old daughter of Mrs E. E. Stimpson, of 8 Alfred Street, Auckland, her short poem entitled “England” having been published by a prominent English magazine. The poem has been given a full page and is enclosed in a decorative panel depicting the English country which the work recalls. Miss Stimpson has also had a considerable amount of both verse and prose published locally.
