Clients Honour Retiring Banker
PRESENTATION TO MR A. G. LAWSON On his retirement from the Bank of Australasia on Wednesday last some 100 or so clients of the bank met Mr. A. G. Lawson at a pleasant informal gathering. Mr. J. Batchelar was iu the chair and explained that the clients had felt they could not let the occasion pass without showing their goodwill to one who had been such an understanding and kindly financial adviser. Ju asking Mr. lawson’s acceptance of a well-filled wallet as a small token of their appreciation, Mr. Batchelar expressed the hope that he would enjoy happiness and health in his well-earned leisure. Mr. Batchelar was supported by Messrs. J. M. Gordon, C. Freyberg, O. Rowling and H. E. Edmonds. Mr. Lawson made feeling acknowledgment. Opportunity was also taken to welcome Mr. L.
