During the month or April, 26 cows (122), 17 oxen (G), 77 heifers (18), 377 sheep (377), lambs nil (14), 2155 pigs (2180), and 9 vealers (nil) were dealt with at the Municipal Abattoir. Fees amounted to £30115s 4d (£313 11s 1071). Figures for tho corresponding month of last year are shown in parentheses, a decrease of £ll lGs Gd. Tho following is a list of killings in (he extended abattoir district l'or the mouth of April:—427 sheep, 379 lambs, 73 pigs, and 22 cattle. Fees amounted to £3O 19s 7d.
