Scandinavia Rejects Nazi Offer of Pacts

United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. STOCKHOLM, May 9. The Scandinavian Foreign Ministers rejected Germany’s offer of nonaggression pacts. The Ministers issued a communique stating that they had decided to maintain last year’s declaration and to remain outside all groups of European Powers and do their utmost to avoid being involved in the event of war. They would jointly welcome an expression from other countries in respect of the northern countries’ integrity and independence. The communique adds that the results of the conference will be submitted to the respective countries.
