Tho Chinese are also threatening Sunkai and Sheklung and have surrounded Sunwci. JAPAN’S DRIVE SOUTH GOVERNMENT TO ENCOURAGE TRADE ENTERPRISE TOKIO, May 9. General Loiso, Minister of Overseas Affairs, declared: “Tho Japanese are flourishing in the South Seas regions, and, taking into consideration tho present situation in China, the Japanese Government is taking measures further to encourage this southward enterprise for the purpose of the acquisition of materials and also to promote exports.”
