The lion. J. Dash, Queensland Minister of Transport, arrived at Wellington by the Wanganella on a health trip. He was accompanied by his wife and daughter. Major E. Elliffe, who has been appointed director of the Dunedin Presbyterian Social Service Association. Mr. Elliffe’s resignation from the charge of Devuuport aud as clerk of Presbytery takes effect from Juno 1. Mr. R. Woodcock, advance representative of the Viennese Boys’ Choir, which is to visit this city, is now iu Palmerston North, finalising arrangements both for the choir’s audition and for the billeting of its members. This latter has been successfully arranged in other centres on a voluntary basis and it is hoped by Mr. Woodcock that a similar response will be made by citizens of Palmerston North.
