Keep a piece of linoleum under the doormat, cut to same size, to collect the dust.

• # • • Shiny surfaced oil-cloth is better than paper for lining the bottoms of drawers in which linen is kept. It is easy to take out and clean.

# # # # Bind the cracked leg of basket chair I with wide adhesive tape, first above the ! crack and down to about an inch below it. Paint enamel over tape to match chair.

# # # * Remove grease and dirt marks from lino with warm water that contains a little paraffin; dry with a cloth, and polish.

# * * * With paper patterns place pattern on to material to be cut, press with fairly hot iron and pattern will adhere to the material.
