Successful Gathering for National Party Funds

Organised to aid the funds of the Women's Division of the National Party, a most successful bridge party was held at the Jade tearooms yesterday. Contract and auction, also 500 were the games chosen, 29 tables being occupied. At the close of play tho prize winners for the hidden numbers proved to be Mrs. Anderson (contract), Miss Robinson (auction), Mrs. Burns (500). Opportunity was taken by Mr. H. G. Mills, chairman of the Palmerston North branch, to refer to general activities. He gave a reminder of tho annual meeting of the Women's Division in the Royal Dutch Lounge on May 2, and gave notice of a social function in the middle of May. The bridgo committee responsible for the arrangements so happily made comprised Mesdames D. Black (convener), J. H. Whyte, G. C. Keeble, R. Davis, 11. G. Mills and Miss E. Warren.
