Triple Murder Tragedy in Tasmania

WOMAN AND TWO MEN United Press Association.—By Electrlo TelegraDh.—Copyright. HOBART, April 24. A young married woman and two men were shot dead at Grass Tree Hill, near Hobart. They were Mrs. Doreen Estcourt, aged IU; Norman Williams, aged 50; and Alfred Webb, aged 55. Neighbours say that they saw Mrs. Estcourt, pursued by a man, running in tho direction of a house occupied by Williams, his wife, and four children, and that she ran inside. Williams was shot through the heart and Mrs. Estcourt was shot in the nock. The man then went to tho homo of Webb, who is almost blind. Webb was shot through the heart. A man has been dotained. MAN ARRESTED WOMAN VICTIM'S HUSBAND Received Tuesday, 9.30 p.m. HOBART, April 25. Arising out of the shooting of three persons at Grass Tree Hill, Cyril Estcourt, aged 22, husband of the woman victim, Doreen Estcourt, was charged with triple murder and remanded to May 1. The Estcourts had been married only three months.
