Baby Boy Found Dead in Sleeping Basket

DEATH FROM ASPHYXIATION AUCKLAND, Last Night. A three months’ old baby, Ray Waller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Reginald Waller, of Henderson, was found dead in his sleeping basket on Monday morning. He was lying on his face. A postmortem examination showed that death was due to asphyxiation and according to evidence given at the inquest a diet was returned accordingly. Following his usual custom Mr. Wjß ler arose at 5 a.m. to begin milking. fore leaving the house he carried th# child’s basket from the bedroom to the living room. Mrs. Waller arose later and looked at the child but did not suspect anything. She prepared a bath and feeding bottle and on going to lift him found he was dead.
