JOAN CRAWFORD’S CASE The film actress, Joan Crawford, aftei having been refused a “mail order’ divorce recently, appeared personally in Court yesterday, and obtained a decree against her husband, Franchot Tone, the actor. She said in evidence that her husband had been mentally cruel. His anger and sullenness hud caused her to become nervous, aud this had interfered with her cinema work. Before awarding tbe decree, the Judge remarked that she owed an explanation to the Court and to the public of the publicity which had been given her effort to Sbtain a divorce by proxy.
