St. Peter’s Girls’ Club

THE FORTNIGHTLY MEETING Owing to the Easter holidays, St. Peter’s Senior Girls’ Club held its fortnightly meeting on Wednesday. As the vicar was unable to be present, the lesson was conudcted by the leader (Miss D. Milne Allan). It was taken from a book entitled “The Game of Life and How to Play It, ’ ’ which was written by an American woman. Being of a somewhat controversial nature, it occasioned some interesting discussion amongst the girls. The social part of the evening, which was in charge of the hostesses (Miss D. Bick and Miss Milne-Allan), consisted of distribution of club fancy work to the members, a competition, won by three people, and several sets of “donkey” ping-pong. There was a fair attendance of members. They were pleased to welcome a new one, and also had with them their city correspondent for the Bible Class Union, Miss M. Purdie.
