WEEK-END MATCH Over the week-end the Feilding Lawn Tennis Club’s A team engaged in a match with the Linton Street Tennis Club (Palmerston North) at the local club’s courts, which resulted m a win for the visitors by 22 sets to 13. Results of play are as follow, Feilding players being mentioned first: — Men’s singles: W. Boddy lost to R. Chiaholm 3-6, 2-6; J. Dive lost to Y . Hobin 0-6, 1-6; T. Wilson lost to D. O’Brien 6-2, 3-6, 3-6; K. G. Salmoud lost to W. Gloyn 6-4, 5-6, 3-6. Women’s singles: Miss B. Eliott lost to Mrs. Lennon 2-6, 26; Miss W. Robson lost to Mrs. Anderson 2-6, 2-6; Miss L. Rutherford defeated Miss Haggitt 6-2, 6-0; Mrs. A. Waldin defeated Mrs. New 6-1, 6-2.

Men’s doubles: Boddy and fcjalmond defeated Chisholm and Hubin 5-6, 6-4, 6-1; Wilson and Dive lost to O’Brien and Gloyn 0-6, 5-6. Women’s doubles: Misses Eliott and Robson lost to Mrs. Anderson and Miss Haggitt 2-6, 3-6; Mrs. Waldin and Aliss Rutherford defeated Airs. Lennon and Mrs. New 6-3, 6-4. Aiixed doubles: Boddy and Miss Eliott defeated Chisholm and Airs.
