From Our Own Correspondent Personal. Tre friends of Mrs W. Martini will be pleased to learn that she is making satislactory progress after an operation. Norine, the Jittle daughter of Mr and Mrs C. Harris, Dixon’s Dine. Is progressing satisfactorily after an operation lor appendicitis. Messrs G. McKenzie and T. Beagley. members of the Palmerston North Battery, N.Z.F.A., has returned home after attending the annual manoeuvres in the VVaiouru district. Mrs Dahl, of Te Kuiti, is staying with her sister, Mrs C. Lassen, Senr. Mr and Mrs Burrell have returned home after visiting relatives at Lower Hutt. Mr T. Bicknell was the victim of an unfortunate accident when operating a circular saw. His hand came into contact with the saw, severing one of his fingers. Mr Z. Sparrow is at present on annual holidays. Tennis. Godfrey were appointed a committee to deal with the affairs of the club until the next annual meeting. Mr EClevely, the club's patron, expressed his appreciation of the work accomplished by the chairman, secretary and other members of the committee. The monthly social afternoon of tlic Anglican Ladies’ Guild was held on Wednesday afternoon. The hostesses were Mesdames Faulkner and Greenhow. The winners of the card tournament were Mrs Guy 1, Mrs Northcott 2. Mrs Faulkner was the winner of the competition. It was decided to hold an afternoon In a fortnight's time.
