DIXON CUP CONTEST On Saturday afternoon a rink from the Northern Club visited Terrace End in quest of the Dixon Cup. They early established a commanding lead, this being 17 to I at one stage, and at tho finish they were 34 points to 9 ahead The teams were:—Terrace End: E. Bee, P. Wills, C. Dixon and P. Childs (skip). Northern: J. Kershaw, P. S. Larcourt, L. G. Astle, P. Skoglund (skip). The Levin Club has the next challenge in for the trophy. A new arrival in the city, Mr. L. G. Astle, of Whitiora Club, Hamilton, has joined the Northern Club. This evening four rinks from the Northern Club will play Takaro at Takaro in the final game of the season for the Takaro-Te Raki Cup, now held by the Northern Club. MATCH AT DANNEVDRKE Seven rinks from the Palmerston North Bowling Club were the guests of the Dannevirke Club on Saturday, receiving a welcome from the president and members, .to which Mr. E, Bary responded. On the aggregate Palmerston North won by 144 points to 100. Results, Palmerston North players mentioned first, were:— L. Lovelock, Cook, Morgan, Bary (skip) 15 v.
