OUTSTANDING SUCCESS Despite the threatening weather, preparations were finalised by midday on Saturday for the holding of the annual fete in the neat and picturesque grounds of St. Peter’s vicarage. There was a very large attendance and as there were stalls and entertainments to suit every taste, business was very brisk. The opportunity was taken during tho proceedings to make a presentation to tho people’s warden, Mr. A. W. Mr. G. Godfrey Taylor mado the presentation to Air. Hamilton in the form of a handsome cheque and Air. Hamilton graciously and suitably returned his thanks and appreciation of the assistance loyally given him by ono and all, particularly that of the vestry.

The feature of the gathering was its continuity so unusual in such functions, ana this was due in no small measure to Air. A. W.
