United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph-—Copyright SYDNEY, Feb. 17. Union officials estimate that there afe between 800 and 900 unemployed carpenters in New frouth Wales. The Bricklayers’ Union has 150 uuemployt ! members and the Plasterers * Union ;.bout 100 unemployed. Acting on advice Hint there would be plenty of work in New Zealand for some years, a number of Newcastle carpenters have already left for New Zealand. Others propose to follow.
