Wellington Croquet Championships Continued

WELLINGTON, Feb. 17. Conditions were perfect yesterday for tho Wellington croquet tournament, which was continued in Lower Ilutt and Petone. An excellent game was witnessed between Mrs Walker and Mrs Bryan in the semi-finals of tho handicap singles. Both players are on the scratch, mark and both played well. At the conclusion of the game Mrs Walker failed nt tho rover hoop, Mrs Bryan took the play, but baulked at the first return, letting in her opponent, who finished to enter the final. Tho other finalist is Mrs Heeuan, with, a handicap of 2} bisques. Entries have closed for the post-entry handicap doubles event, play in which will commence almost immediately.
