Estimate of 70.000 Jews in Italy
BAN ON TEXTBOOKS United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph—-Copyright. ROME, G**r. 5. The first official result of the Italian census, subject to verification, shows the number of Jews in Italy as 70,000. The Ministry of Education has banned textbooks the authors of which are Jews,'and gives lists of names, including professors, whose books are at present used in the universities.
