East Africa Fear Germany’s Ambitions
BUSINESS At a standstill Received Friday, 1 a.m. DAR-ES-SALAAM (East Africa), Oct. 6. Trade and business is at a standstill, fearing an expression of Germany’s colonial ambition. In Tanganyika all sections of the community have jointly cabled the East African Board in London. Other officials are requesting reassurances of British pledges to safeguard the interests as part of the Empire. Urgent appeals are addressed to Delhi and South Africa.
