JOHNSONVILLE SALE Messrs. Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd. and Abraham and Williams Ltd., report on Johnsonville sale held on Wednesday as follows: We offered a small yarding of all classes of cattle and a large yarding of sheep. Prime quality bullocks met with good competition with prices showing no alteration, while unfinished bullocks were hard to sell even at reduced rates. Fine cows and heifers met with a ready sale, while light and unfinished sorts were not wanted. Prices for prime cattle were easier to the extent of 10s per head on last week, while • unfinished cows were down 15s per head. The wethers yarded were of mixed quality, only a few pens of prime sheep coming forward. These met with keen competition with prices showing no alteration, while unfinished sheep were hard to sell. A good sale for all classes of ewes resulted with prices showing little alteration. No prime quality hoggets were yarded, the balance consisting of light and unfinished sheep, prices being down to the extent of Is to Is 6d per head on last week. Spring lambs met with fervent competition with prices firm on those ruling last week.
