School Boxing Tournament
PAHIATUA TOURNEY The Pahiatua District High School held a house boxing tournament on Wednesday afternoon at the school. The competition was organised by Mr. D. R. Salter, and Mr. Sefton Walsh acted as refere. There were five bouts in all, and the contestants gave a display of keen and spirited boxing. The tournament was won by Tararua House with three victories as against Ruahine’s two. The results of the bouts were as follows:—I, Madson (B.) beat I. Watts (T.); K. Bonisch (R.) heat Q. Holdaway (T.); A. Carrad (T.) beat D. Mitchell (R.); S. Beales (T.) beat R. Veal© (R.); J. Beales (T.) beat W. Macrae (R.).
