Soviet Airwomen Aided by Parachute
FOUND IN SIBERIAN JUNGLE United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. MOSCOW, Oct. 4. Airmen are planning to make parachute jumps to go to the aid of the women long-distance fliers who have been missing since September 26, and who were found standing by their aeroplane in a Siberian jungle 100 miles north-west of Komsomolsk. A record for a long-distance flight by women is claimed. Food and clothing have been dropped by parachutes. A cablegram from Moscow on Septem ber 27 stated that three airwomen who had taken off on a non-stop flight to the Far East were missing east of Lake Baikal.
