Obituary
MRS. A. W. SMITH, OF FEILDING Following a brief illness, the death took place at the Palmerston North % Hospital on Tuesday of Airs. Ida Beatrice Smith, widow of the late Air. A. W. Smith, of Derby Street, Feilding. The deceased lady was born in Feilding and was a daughter of the late Air. and Airs. F. de Berry. For many years Airs. Smith had pluckily carried on a footwear business in Ferguson Street, and, on the advice of her doctor, gave up that occupation recently with the intention of settling in the north, but subsequent developments in her health resulted in her having to enter hospital. Airs. Smith was married at Greymouth. Miss L. Smith, of Feilding, is Ler only daughter, to whom much sympathy will be extended. Mrs. Smith was a member of St. John's Anglican Church, and her funeral leaves from there to-day for the Feilding cemetery.
