HEAVY TRAFFIC HANDLED AT PALMERSTON NORTH Passenger journeys recorded at the Palmerston North railway station during the tinaneial year 1937-3 S totalled 1811469. of which 11,736 were first-class and 170,433 second-class. Passenger revenue totalled £44,215, while luggage, parcels and mails yielded £4034. Goods freight brought in £67,040 and miscellaneous charges £632, making the ir >tal revenue £155,921.
