ALTERATIONS TO MAN AW ATI? TEAMS

Owing to players being unable to travel, several alterations have been made in the Manawatu Rugby football teams to play to-day, so that they will be as follow: Against Horowhenua:— Full-back: R. Richards (St. Pat’s). Three-quarters: D. Buiek (Old Boys), A. Guild (Massey College), H. Waugh (Foilding Old Boys, captain). Five-eighths: Stewart (Massey college), C. Hehir (St. Pat’s). The team will travel by bus, leaving the rural bus stand, Palmerston North, at 8.15 a.m. Invitation to New Zealand Rugby Union.

Owing to Athletic Park, Wellington, not being available for the match between the All Blacks and tlio Rest, which has been set down for August 20, the match will not be staged in Wellington, and representations have been made by the Manawatu Rugby Union to have the game played at Palmerston North.
