Hungary Going Nazi
GERMAIN INFLUENCE INCREASING United Press Association. —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Friday, 1 aun. LONDON, Aug. 4. The Budapest correspondent of the Times says signs are accumulating that the Hungarian Nazis who hitherto have been divided arc building up their strength and unity. The most important groups have been fused under the leadership of Major Szalasi who is now imprisoned. The programme includes anti-Semitism and the redistribution of property, the State taking a third of the profits of production. The basis of the State will be a peasants’ policy with a militaristic basis as ‘‘Hungary despises and hates degenarate pacifism.”
The Berlin correspondent of the Times points out that Hungary is falling increasingly under German influence. The Regent Admiral Horthy and the Chancellor M. Imredy will visit Germany on August 21 and it is expected their talks will strengthen Germany’s position.
