Colyton Coming-of-age Party

To celebrate the coming-of-age of their eldest son, Ernest, about 60 guests assembled at the home of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Lankshear, Colyton. A large room had been cleared and artistically decorated in shades of green, gold and red. Tartan plaids were draped over the bay windows and with the coloured lights produced a charming setting. In the adjoining room long tables ran the full extent and were also decorated. The beautiful cake, which was much admired, was mado by Mrs. G. Lankshear and beautifully iced in tartan effects by Mrs. Cox, of FeHding. The time was passed gaily with games, competitions and dancing. Toasts proposed by Messrs A. W. Trass and A. Wilson, of Feilding, were responded to by Mr. E. Lankshear.

Mrs. Lankshear received her guests wearing a gown of blue and white marocain, with blue shoes to tone. Among those present wero Mr. and Mrs. G. Lankshear, Mr. and Mrs. F.
