Evening Wedding Celebrated In July

MITCHINSON—JEFFERIES A quiet evening wedding took place in St. Peter’s AngLican Church, Terrace End, on Monday, July 11, when Zoe Noeleen, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alf Jefferies, of Bunny tho rpe, was united in the bonds of holy matrimony to Victor Ken, only son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Mitchinson, of New Plymouth. The Rev. F. S. Ramson officiated and Mrs. H. S. Porteous presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a charming French model frock of powder blue cloque cut on classical lines and a threequarter tulle veil, held in place by a coronet of leaves. Her bouquet was a beautiful sheaf of cream roses and double stocks. Miss Nola Hector-Jones, of Hastings, who attended the bride, wore a maizecoloured frock of crinkled satin, with top-knot of flowers to match. She carried a sheaf of deeper maize and bronzecoloured flowers to tone. Mr. A. O. McLean, of New Plymouth, was best man. After the ceremony the bride’s parents entertained tho guests at a dinner at tho Grand Hotel when a short toast list was honoured and later at their home at Bunnythoxpe. When the happy couple left by car on a tour of the north, the bride was wearing a smart brown tailored costume with accessories to match. Their future home will, be in. Auckland.
