Oath of Loyalty
CANADIAN VETERANS SWEAR BELIEF IN DEMOCRACY TORONTO, Aug. 1. With their hands stretched out, representatives of 75,000 veterans attending the Canadian Corps re-union pledged their belief in God, loyalty to tm King and their determination to solve Canada’s problems only within the :ramework of a democratic system The resolutions urged the deportation of aliens refusing naturalisation, and inv nigration ensuring the predominance Df British stock, and approved unemployment and health insurance. The Prime Minister, Mr W. McKenzie King, and the Minister of Health, vlr C. G. Power, who were guests, de:lared that citizenship could be built >nly on high Christian ideals. Former war padres, in addressing luge open-air religious services, urged i solid front against Communism and Fascism, both of which they declared j o be the negation of Christ.
