Obituary

MR. BEN LEVY, LATE OF FEILDING The death occurred in Wellington on Saturday of Air. Bernard (Ben) Levy who for several years conducted a tailoring business in Feilding. Tho iate Mr. Levy, who was in his 43rd year, was a recent visitor to Feilding and was apparently in good health, and his sudden passing will come as a shock to all who knew him. Born in Palestine, the late Mr. Levy worked in London and came out to New Zealand prior to the Great War. He enlisted with the New Zealand Rifle Brigade, and at the conclusion of the war joined the Feilding branch of the R.S.A. and was among its enthusiastic members. He was of a very likeable disposition and was a staunch member of the Druids’ Lodge. %

The late Air. Levy, whoso passing will be regretted by many friends in Feilding, leaves a wife and a young son, Trevor. Airs. Levy was a daughter of Air. and Mrs. Weingott, formerly of Feilding and now of Auckland. Air. Victor Levy, of Pahiatua, a brother, is the only other relative in New Zealand, all the other members of tho family being in Palestine.
