MAQISTBATE’S CODBT PEOCEEDHTGS Mr H. P. Lavirv, S.M., presided at the sitting of the Magistrate's Court in Palmerston North yesterday. Eilif Jensen, baker, aged 40 years, admitted being intoxicated -while at the wheel of a car. According to Senior-Sergeant Mclntyre, a complaint was received of accused’s erratic driving in Cuba street. Aldersley was fined 30s with 20s costs, for driving in Main street without due care and attention. J. D. Clark (Te Karaka), who failed to give way to traffic on his right with the result that there was a collision with another car at the intersection of Rangitikei line and Boundary road was fined £2 with 16s costs. The driver of the other car, R. G. 'Wallace, who had no warrant of fitness for his car. was fined £2 with 10s costs. F. W. Mitchell who had a collision with another car at the intersection of Princess street and Broadway, admitted driving without due care and at* tention and paid a penalty of £1 with 16s costs. William Burton (Wellington) was charged with negligent driving on the highway between Bulls and Turakina as the result of a collision with a cat he was passing.—Fined £5 with 12s costs.

J H. Knight (Auckland) pleaded guilty to negligent driving in Victoria avenue. He collided with a cyclist Fined £2 with 19s costs. C. Berqrist proceeded over tho Bauhine street railway crossing in front of a train which was only 25 yards away.—Fined £3 with 10s costs. William Gilmour admitted using ob-a.-’ene language in a public place and , was fined £3 with 16s costs. R. Croxton was fined 10s with 10s costs for riding a bicycle at night near Awahuri without a light. F. Karauti drove a car at Awahuri without lights and was fined 10s with 17s costs.

William Amey (Rongotea) was fined with 10s costs for driving his lorry 15 cwt overladen. E. B. Borham paid a penalty of 10s with 10s costs for having no tail light on a trailer. C. Dixon allowed two horses to wander on RaDgitikei line at Newbury and was fined £1 with 17s costs. W. J. Teague admitted that five heifers of his had strayed onto the Kai-ranga-Bunnvthorpe highway.—Fined £! with 27s costs.
