SHIPPING SPACE TOR CHILLED BEEF Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 28. The position in regard to shipping space for chilled beef was the subject of strong adverse comment bv Mr J S. Jessep at the annual meeting of the Sheepowners’ Federation yesterday. It was quite useless, he said, to say that ships were provided and allotments not filled. Arrangements must be made for the regular despatch of ships, and if occasional allotments were not filled the trade would grow so rapidly that that would soon be a thing of the past. The present arrangements for the departure of ships he described as simply appalling. As the control of shipping contracts was in the hands of the Meat Board the sheepowners must look to them for redress. *
