Presentation Social
ARRANGED FOR MR. AND MRS. J. D. WILSON On Monday evening the Mayor (Mr. S. K. Siddells) presided over a special meeting of councillors to arrange a suitable function for the presentation to the ex-May or and Mayoress of Pahiatua, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Wilson. As the outcome of the meeting it was decided that a social evening and dance be held in the Foresters’ hall on Saturday, August 13, during which a presentation will bo made to Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Wilson. The assistance of the local Plunket Society and Women’s Institute is being sought to help with the catering and the supply of a playette as well as items. The present Mayor, Mr. S. K. Siddells, and county chairman, Mr. A. W. Bisset, will be tho speakers for the evening.
