Rain Coming; Cold Temperatures Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An extensive and complex depression is situated in the northern Tasman. Pressure has risen considerably, however, over the southern portion of the Dominion, an anti-cyclone now being located to the east of the South Island. Winds: Between north-east and southeast prevailing, force mainly moderate at first but freshening, especially over the North Island and gradually tending more northerly. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rather rough to rough on the East Coast and north of Farewell Spit; elsewhere slight to moderate. Eastern Tasman. Moderate to strong north-easterly winds and rough seas. Weather: For the most part fair to fine, but with scattered rains in eastern districts, especially of the North Island, and in the far north.
