Queen Marie’s Funeral
STREETS LINED BY THOUSANDS. BUCHAREST, July 24. After the servico at the Cotroceni Palace, the casket of Queen Marie was placed on a gun-carriage and was followed by King Carol, Prince Michael, Prince Nicholas, and others. The streets were lined by thousands of people. The body of the Queen was taken to the Cathedral, where a service was conducted by the Patriarch of the Orthodox Church. From there the coffin was borne to the Royal Mausoleum at Cur tea di Arges and laid beside her husband,, the late King Ferdinand.
