Australian Tours Of New Zealand
LIKELY TO BE ENCOURAGED IN FUTURE Received Tuesday, 1 a.m. SYDNEY, July 25. At the annual meeting of the New South Wales Cricket Association to-night criticism was voiced at the Board of Control’s attitude in not fostering tours of Australian teams in New Zealand. The opinion was expressed that such tours benefit cricket both in New Zealand and Australia as well as afford Australians experience of the type of wickets likely to be encountered in Englanu. Mr. R. Oxlade, a member of tho Board of Control, hinted that the board would probably revise its policy and encourage tours in New Zealand. The opinion was also expressed that the tests in England should be played to a finish and efforts will be made to bring this about.
