KAIRANGA RATEPAYERS CARRY LOAN PROPOSAL Ratepayers of the Kairanga County, at a poll yesterday, authorised the raising of a loan for £4OOO to provide the council’s share of the cost of bridging, metalling, priming and seating tnat portion of No. 60 main highway (Palmerston North to Levin via Shannou) from the Fitzherbert bridge to the county boundary at Tokomar^. Votes for the proposal total.M 231, and against 63, with two informal. The necessary three-fifths majority of the total valid votes cast was thus easily obtained. 1
