No Foreign Immigration
FEDERAL PRIME MINISTER’S DECLARATION United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Thursday, 10.30 p.m. CANBERRA, June 30. “The Commonwealth Government has no intention of beginning immigration from countries other than the United Kingdom,” declared the Prime Minister in the Federal House of Representatives to-day in reply to a question as to whether Dutch immigrants tvCre coming to Australia. Mr. Lyons added that Australia would welcome selected foreign migrants but no special inducement would be offered to them to come here.
