DUTY OF ACCOUNTANTS “Accountants are the most qualified persons to serve on public bodies, particularly those dealing witn financial matters,” said the president of tho N.Z. Society of Accountants, Air. M. F Spence, when speaking in Palmerston North last evening. “I think it is a national duty for them xo no so. Accountants should take a keen interest in public bodies.” Alany people, he add ed, who served on public bodies failed to comprehend the intricate accounts and for that reason accountants could be of assistance on city councils, har bour boards and so on.
