Batches of blueguru piles for use in the reconstruction of tho East Coast railway which was considerably damaged in the April floods, are arriving at the Napier railway station from the Waipulcurau district. About 100 piles are to be used in the work and on arrival at Napier are shod and ringed at the top before they are sent on up the line. Some of the piles are 73 feet in length, and they arc to be used as temporary and permanent piles in bridging gaps where serious washouts have occurred.
