The state of tho parties following the counting of votes in the Eire election is:— De Valera Party .. .... 37 Cosgrave Party ]5 Labour 3 Independents 2 Those elected include President De Valera who headed the poll in Clnro obtaining 6459 votes in excess of the quota Mr. Aiken, Minister of Defence; Mr. Tray nor, Minister of Posts and Telegraphs; Mr. McEntec, Minister of Finance; Mr. O'Kelly, Deputy-Premier; Mr. Ryan, Minister of Agriculture; Mr. Cosgrave and Mr. Byrne, Lord Mayor of Dublin. Those defeated include Mr. James Larkin, the noted trade unionist. DE VALERA’S SUBSTANTIAL LEAD Received Monday, 1.10 a.in. DUBLIN, June 19. In the election count at 3 a.in. the position was:— De Valeraites 52 Cosgraveites 2' Independents £ Labourites 3 Mr. Lcmass, Minister of Trade, was the only one out of thirteen candidates in Dublin Kouth to be elected on the first preference, having more than double the quota.
