Whirokino Highway
IMPASSABLE DURING WEEK-END The Whirokino road will be closed during the week-end, according to information received by the Automobile Association (Manawatu) last evening. At 5 o'clock the depth of water on the highway was 2ft. sin., and it was not expected that the flood would recede sufficiently before Monday to permit the passage of motor-vehicles.
