Nelson Meeting Opens To-day
FAIR-SIZED FIELDS ARE ENGAGED SINGLE-POOL BETTING The Nelson Jockey Club's annual meeting opens to-day and it will be concluded on Monday. The acceptances are light in one event but they are good in the others and there is a prospect of a successful meeting. The singlepool betting system will operate and horses likely to command respect are as under:— Novice Handicap: Floral Robe, Esperance Bay. Wakefield Handicap Trot: Guy Zolock, Evora.
