Dining Tables.
The other day I saw a round dining table, part of a cream painted suite, that had its top finished with gold cellulose. Table mat and polished table top fashion has been always a distinctly British vogue. Continental hostesses and those in America have preferred an expanse of damask cloth. Of course, we largely use tablecloths ourselves. There are now some in pale colourings that are most attractive, being linen woven with artificial silk. This gives them a rich surface lustre.
