PAHIATUA CLUB MEETS The annual meeting of the Pahiatua Footbal Club was held on Thursday night, president, Mr. C. C. Smyth, presiding over a fair attendance of members. The election of officers resulted as under: Patron, Mr. R. Gregory; president, Mr. C. C. Smyth; vice-presidents, Drs. E. B. Watson, H. Paterson and H. T. Dawson, Messrs. E. and L. O'Neill, McKellar, A. A. Vaughan, A. Bentley, A. W. White, L. Chatwin, G. W. Chatwin, J. Hutton, E. Stack, S. K. Siddells, W. Hall Watson, L. T. Russell, T. Devoy, A. C. Paget, W. H. Murch, W. Kernick, W. J. Mills, T. Parker, F. Cosford, J. Devane, S. J. Judd and G, Kershaw; secretary, Mr. F. Mills; treasurer, Mr. R. Murch; club captain, Mr. C. McCardle; hon. auditor, Mr. P. R. Boagey; senior coach, Mr. T. Harvey j general committee, president, secretary, treasurer, club captain and Messrs. M. Kershaw, B. Fowke, J. Paku, H. Goss and G. Smith. Mr. C. McCardle moved that a senior and third grade team be entered in the Bush Rugby Union competition. This was seconded by Mr. B. Fowke and carried. Mr. McCardle moved that the subscription be: Senior ss, reducible to 4s, and thirds 3s 6d, reducible to 2s 6d if paid by the end of the first playing month. This was seconded by Mr. G. Paget and carried. Mr. R. Wilson moved that a dance be held early in the season, the matter being left in the hands of the social committee consisting of the president, secretary, treasurer, club captain and Messrs. R. Wilson, S. Judd and G. L. Chatwin.
The secretary was instructed to purchase two new footballs.
Mr. Smyth moved a vote of condolence to the relatives of the late Mrs. I Cowan and the late Mr. J. W. Mills for which members stood in silence.
